How we are funded

This page exists because every comparison site prompts the same legitimate question: who pays for this, and does it affect what I see?

Revenue: none

This site takes in no money. No commission, no advertising, no paid placements, no data licences, no subscription. It is privately funded — the way one funds a hobby.

What that means for you

Nobody pays to be included, to be listed higher or to be described more kindly — because nobody pays at all. The order in the lists follows the sorting you choose, and nothing else.

If that changes

Should the site earn money later, this page will say beforehand what the source is, roughly how much it is and what it affects; the places concerned will be marked. A silent change would be the point at which this site loses its purpose.

Conflict of interest, stated plainly. The author works in fund selection at a Swiss private bank. Semi-liquid funds are not part of the investment universe there: they are not selected, not used and not part of client advice. There is therefore no overlap between his professional remit and this site. The site is a private undertaking — no mandate, no funding and no data from his employer; it contains no internal information and does not represent the bank's position.
